A Tribute to Kurt Vonnegut

I would like to take this moment to pay tribute to a great American author, Kurt Vonnegut.  May his art live to eternity.  Here are some of his thoughts to ponder by him:
I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around, and don’t let anybody tell you different.
Kurt Vonnegut

I want to stand as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all the kinds of things you can’t see from the center.
Kurt Vonnegut

Life happens too fast for you ever to think about it. If you could just persuade people of this, but they insist on amassing information.
Kurt Vonnegut

Laughter and tears are both responses to frustration and exhaustion. I myself prefer to laugh, since there is less cleaning up to do afterward.
Kurt Vonnegut

Say What Thou Wilt

Say what thou wilt of fear, of loss of time.

Say what thou wilt, I say it is no crime

To dance with one who yearns to dance with you

And know you more.  Desire is often true,

Yet often false.  The answer won’t be known

Till evenings end, when truths unsaid are shown.

For time does soar, and will leave spirits lost.

Romance will die, with no concern of cost.

Yet now is known to shine with glorious streams

Of golden light, awakened soft by dreams.

We cannot know how long a dream might last,

Bust hopes withheld will never come to pass.
