For But A Moment

Let us meet,

For but a moment.

Fate intervening,

Chance enlivening,

Souls perfectly sent into a moment of union,

Thrown blissfully together

Without the interference of the mind.

Let us talk,

For but a moment.

Our words entwining,

Our thoughts colliding,

Creating a cacophony of intricate counterpoint

With unexplainable understanding,

For which we need no explanation.

Let us sing,

For but a moment.

No melody present,

In perfect harmony.

Notes untempered by the proper procedure,

Vicariously twisting together

Through music played by blessed joy.

Let us dance,

For but a moment.

Hard beats resounding

With secret rhythms.

Our hearts dictating the subtle steps,

Tightly held in passion,

Erupting from a hidden well.

Let us kiss,

For but a moment.

Perhaps a dream,

Perhaps not real.

Frozen time departs from any sense of reason,

A fire burning strong,

Flames fiercely licking our core.

Let us part,

Without a moment.

The mind moderates,

Reality returns.

Dreamt of kisses still lingering on the lips.

A smile. A nod.

All that remains of the moment that was,

Of the moment that cannot be,

Trying something new

Hello,

We’re going to try adding a new bit to this blog.  Some poetry is going to be slipped in - don’t know if just on this page or on a new page, but either way it will be here.  So enjoy, and feel free to leave comments on my poetry.  I’ve never given my poetry work to the public before, so I’m curious to hear your thoughts.

Best,
Lethan

CD is RELEASED!!!

We did it!!!  Finally, this project which has been taking up the majority of my life for the past several months is done.  And it’s good!  Traveling Tales’ first CD, FAVORITE TALES is done and released, and as of date, has received nothing but positive reviews.

For this CD, I must give huge amounts of credit to all the artists who worked with me to create this work: Rob Nock, my spectacular photo artist; Eric Shurmaitis, who helped to add the final bits of spice to the cover art; Ken Roszel, my performance photographer who has worked with me for years and has always produced splendid shots; and finally, and perhaps most importantly, Matthew McMasters, my recording artist.  Matthew has allowed this CD to take on a magic of its own, something separate from the magic we feel at performances.  His meticulous nature allowed this disk to sound like it does.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this project since its get-go, and there are a lot of you.  Your inspiration and encouragement is what has let the art grow and will allow it to continue its growth.  Thank you.

If you are curious about purchasing a copy of this wonderful work, currently copies are available at the Bloomsburg Public Library, but there will be many more available soon at various music stores around Bloomsburg, The Cloak and Dragon Book Store, the Cherry Alley St. Cafe in Lewisburg, and through my website.  If anyone has any other suggestions as to where I might sell it, please leave a comment.  Thank you all and I hope to see you soon on my travels.

Best,
Lethan
