For But A Moment
Let us meet,
For but a moment.
Fate intervening,
Chance enlivening,
Souls perfectly sent into a moment of union,
Thrown blissfully together
Without the interference of the mind.
Let us talk,
For but a moment.
Our words entwining,
Our thoughts colliding,
Creating a cacophony of intricate counterpoint
With unexplainable understanding,
For which we need no explanation.
Let us sing,
For but a moment.
No melody present,
In perfect harmony.
Notes untempered by the proper procedure,
Vicariously twisting together
Through music played by blessed joy.
Let us dance,
For but a moment.
Hard beats resounding
With secret rhythms.
Our hearts dictating the subtle steps,
Tightly held in passion,
Erupting from a hidden well.
Let us kiss,
For but a moment.
Perhaps a dream,
Perhaps not real.
Frozen time departs from any sense of reason,
A fire burning strong,
Flames fiercely licking our core.
Let us part,
Without a moment.
The mind moderates,
Reality returns.
Dreamt of kisses still lingering on the lips.
A smile. A nod.
All that remains of the moment that was,
Of the moment that cannot be,

I must say…I do believe you might have something going for you. I liked this poem, very much so. I do hope you continue to post more.

You are a brilliant word smith. A seasoned soul with a young mans out look. You will do great things..
